Webber writes for Broadway-style musicals and those musical shows (count 'em, 13 of them) are shown worldwide and a few have been on stage for over a decade. You can just imagine the royalties from not only the live stage productions but also from the recordings and airtime of his tunes. i.e. Phantom of the Opera, Cats etc and his worth would skyrocket and continue to do so long after he had written these scores.
