 That's a nice story. And good for her. 
 But bear in mind that envy occurs when we lack something someone else has. 
(Kids can feel that.)
 

 Jealousy occurs when something we possess (a special relationship usually) is 
threatened by a third person. A child in a secure family is unlikely to have 
that emotion unless they feel insecure about a sibling. 

 

 Jealousy will kick in when adolescence does!

home, so she was having difficulty with the whole concept.
