To my understanding, the man on the left side of the picture was Brahmarishi Devrat, a Rig Ved pandit, not Devraha Baba. Two different people. Some Pandits (Brahmins) say they practiced their practice from their own family lineage, sharing their knowledge within the TMO. They also could attain a title of Guru or Maharishi, if followers (disciples)followed, but the TMO would of course not want for that to happen? (because the Pandits worked for the movement after answering newspaper ads in India to work for the TMO.) Some say they were not paid for their work sometimes, or extremely delayed payments and they had families to support back home.
