I looked on 5-6 groups and its no longer a feature on them. I think you are correct that yahoo nixed it. But of course Yahoo (as well as AOL, MNS) have Instant Messaging. With Voice. If you don't have yahoo Messenger, set it up. http://chat.yahoo.com/ Then create your FFL's list so you can chat spontaneously, even inanely and incessently, to anyone you want. Even talk to them live. Or leave them voice mails. You can create your friends vlist by inviting people. Via Contacts on the Messenger menu. I am at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Post a yahoo e-mail if you want to join others FFL chat list. (Usually yahoo automatically gives yuou an email of your screenname.) Or, you can invite others to your FFL group in Messenger using their probable yahoo names. Check your yahoo emails if you want to see if you got invites. Regarding yahoo Chat, they still have frozen their create your own room option. Too many people like Curtis setting up, High School Chicks who Love Older Blues Guitarists rooms :) Next: FFL MySpace To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!' Shemp joins Sparaig in being highly confused that FFL is their personal chatroom, to sling unwitty one-liners, of no interest to non-compulsives. I resent that! My one-liners are almost always witty. You should see me crack up whenever I write them. Judy and Bary also have this AMT apparent virus, but not as severly as Sparaig and Shemp. Chatrooms and IMs are great. Great for fun, stupid, irreverant, inane, bored, humorous and biting chat through the day among a friend or two. I have been a big fan at times. But I try not to confuse FFL as being such. FFL welcomes all immigrants from destitute lands such as AMT. However, there is the expectation that you learn a modest amount about the culture and language of your new country. That FFL is NOT a personal chatroom for inane personal manderings is the simplest of cultural transitions you will need to learn to become respected memebers of your new land. Its akin to dribbling in public here. And you can EVEN keep your full stree-fighting, inane one-liner culture while living in your new land. Just do it in a chat room. Create one if you need it. Or get each others IM's and chat away on AOL or Yahoo chat. FFL even has / had a chat room that could be used. [FairfieldLife] Re: Its Official: FFL has Become the Personal Chat Room for AMTers
There *is* one aspect of the 25% of FFL posts created by Sparaig and Stein that could be legitimately deemed chat and eliminated. My bet is that if you went back and analyzed their posts, 90% of their posts involve the two of them talking to *each other*, most of the time saying, Yeah, what he said and Yeah, what she said, and the rest of the time arguing over some nitpick. My theory is that the reason they do this Yeah, what he/she said stuff is that almost no one else on the forum bothers to talk to them. So to pretend they're both relevant in any way to the ongoing discussions, they talk to each other. If that I agree with him/her because he/she is the only person on this forum who still believes the silly shit I believe stuff were to stop. I suspect it would eliminate a huge percentage of their posts. Then pretty much all we'd have to wade through is the two of them arguing with each other over nitpicks, because most people don't interact with them at all any more. This is the most amazing set of fantasies from Barry. Not a single thing he says here is true. Either way, he's delusionary. --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, TurquoiseB [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: There *is* one aspect of the 25% of FFL posts created by Sparaig and Stein that could be legitimately deemed chat and eliminated.
