Thanks for the personal history, Louis. Then because some people in this group hate these type stories I will skip the mushy stuff. Anyway We had a great time. In Big Sur we had fun and it was great to be a friend to him. This time I did not go hang out with the Guru. I went to sleep every night. I stayed mostly in silence and I did the program as best I could. Sometimes I would be asked to do something then I had to break silence or whatever. In any case. I could feel his presence and be inside of him in rooms where ever. I could know the conversations they were having. I had never had that kind of closeness with anyone. Then the course ended I went back to LA and yes I did see him again but I have not been on a course since nor been in his presence in the same way. Oh, and if I have a hankering to do "service work", I don't have to start hanging around with an Indian guru to get either the revelation or the inspiration for it. I can just get off my lazy ass and walk down the street to the local Roman Catholic Church. You see, in between their busy Junior Buggery schedule, they have actually spent the past several centuries doing "service work" without a hell of a lot of fanfare or the seeking of publicity for it. And their "work" is a hell of a lot longer than the Katrina/prisoners/I-am-pretty-oh-so-pretty C.V. you've tried to impress us with above.
