[FairfieldLife] Re: The Great Global Warming Swindle (Complete)
Global Warming is not a scam in my mind, however the media and popular science painting it as man-made is very much exaggerated. though there is a climate change, i doubt however that we have any significance control over it () , it is used in my opinion for foreign political and economical agendas, unfortunately some heavy funds are wasted on futile and irrelevant research with regard to global warming, while those funds are very much needed elsewhere, but if this is what it takes to progress alternative and renewable energy sources, maybe it's good for the long run. --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Bhairitu <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Some of the people who think Global Warming is a scam still believe > there is climate change and something should be done about (alternative > and renewable energy sources, etc). Some of the people who think Global Warming is a scam still believe there is climate change and something should be done about (alternative and renewable energy sources, etc). And while this may be true, a percentage of the funds raised goes towards paying the salaries of the professional anti-TMers here on FFL. Sagely, the Church of Environmentalist Whacko Liberals (Reformed) uses the CIA and the Freemasons as "front" organizations so that the funds won't be traced back to them. Ooops. Never mind. I guess I shouldn't have said that.

It might be a good idea then (if you're not a scientist) to accept the majority of scientists opinion and avoid those who attempt to politicize the issue. If you are not a scientist and would like a nice intro to the established science behind global climate change, check out: http://www.dailyplanettv.net/2006/06/09/dptv-172-2006-06-09/ or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1s-jvaqjjE It's interesting the disinformation the media puts out alone, based on their misunderstanding of ultra-large chaotic systems and how they respond when you add energy to them or change some of their variables. Guess what? They respond chaotically! In other words, just because you're adding heat to the ultra-complex doesn't mean you always get a heating effect. You might get extreme cold or extreme drought or rain, lack of hurricanes in one area, etc.

The Royal Society's response: http://www.royalsoc.ac.uk/news.asp?id=6089 Latest press releases The Royal Society's response to the documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle" 9 Mar 2007 In response to the documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle', screened on Channel 4 on Thursday 8 March, Martin Rees, President of the Royal Society, said: "Global temperature is increasing. This warming threatens the future health and wellbeing of many millions of people throughout the world. This is especially true of those in the developing countries who are the least able to adapt and who are likely to be the worst affected. Many factors play a part in global warming but there is significant scientific evidence that greenhouse gas emissions, particularly CO2, are responsible for most of the temperature rise. If present trends continue the projected climate change will be far greater than that already experienced. Greenhouse gas emissions are something that we can and must take action on. "Scientists will continue to monitor the global climate and the factors which influence it. It is important that all legitimate potential scientific explanations continue to be considered and investigated. Debate will continue, and the Royal Society has just hosted a two day discussion meeting attended by over 300 scientists, but it must not be at the expense of action. Those who promote fringe scientific views but ignore the weight of evidence are playing a dangerous game. They run the risk of diverting attention from what we can do to ensure the world's population has the best possible future."
