Rising stock markets and declining oil prices are strong indicators
of growing optimism and confidence in the country's economic future.
Experts predicted that the upheaval in the Middle East would depress
Wall Street and send oil prices skyrocketing. To the surprise of most
 economists, the opposite occurred.

Somebody ought to tell 'em they're making it
sound as though it's fine if the bloodshed in
the Middle East continues as long as it doesn't
hurt the U.S. stock market.

Uh...excuse me, but I have this hazy memory that
the rhetoric leading up to this course was mainly
about the crisis in the Middle East and the need
to do something to help bring peace there. Wasn't
there a phrase about 'If you want to see tomorrow?

Now somehow the focus of the press releases is all
about 'Invincible America' and how its stock market
fluctuations are probably enabling people there to
make more money. Why?

Oh. Never mind.

And Americans' ability to send money to the TMO.
Exactly.

Sure. But they need to make that point more clearly,
otherwise it sounds as though, as I said above, etc.
