But farmers may want to use robots to grow organic crops.  Believe me, 
organic apples are a real pain to grow and need to be managed.  I've 
pretty much given up on the tree in the back as the moth traps 
themselves cost more than a bag of organic apples from the grocery 
store.  Then you need to spray the tree with orange spray so the bugs 
think it's an orange tree and stay away.  Whereas my lemon tree only 
requires a yearly pruning and on rare occasions covering up if temps get 
too low.


Non-organically raised apples are one of the most pesticide sprayed crops.

Not in the Internet age.  Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are 
yesterdays news.  They were developed before anyone imagined that 
farmers might have computers and use techniques from around the world 
to grow natural organic food.  In fact when I was living back home in 
the 1980s some of the first people to get computers in that rural area 
were the farmers who also got modems and logged into the state's 
agricultural extension BBS to get information.
