Nicu, I believe we are in agreement on the direction of the artwork and referencing your Fedora page as testimony, some very nice 3D'ish things can be done with inkscape/gimp. I'm currently working on the GDM login package and I have the xml file roughed out. I am now in search of svg versions of the icon set used in FC6. Are these available?
