So a such agreement is in the works? Will Fedora get $$$ from it, just
how Mozilla get?

Re: [Long] Do we need a font SIG ?

2007-09-26 Thread Damian Vila
Hello everybody,

My name is Damián Vila. I'm a graphic designer living in Madrid, Spain.
I subscribed to the list a couple of day ago and wanted to introduce myself.
To the topic: in case a SIG is formed, I advise it's members to join the
Open Font Library list:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/openfontlibrary
I belive that you are very aware of all the free font efforts out there,
so it's just a reminder. :-)
I'll try to contribute as much as I can.
Best regards,

D.

What should I do when I'll became font SIG?
I should package fonts? Thats all?

A SIG isn't just about about packaging stuff. You can do a lot of
related things like review packages waiting for that, write up
 documentation, lead meetings etc.

Or even identify cool free fonts on the net and propose them for
 packaging.

I am not active these days, but I was one of its founders, back when it
was split from the Open Clip Art Library.

Reading the initiative which started this all,
http://mihmo.livejournal.com/45152.html, you will see the Open Font
Library was one of the resources used.

I'll try to contribute as much as I can.

The draft incomplete Font SIG space has more info about all this

Comments/corrections/contributions are welcome.

Anyone interested in taking a one-time #fedora-meeting slot to
coordinate actions? Right now I'm feeling a bit lonely there

IMHO you should optimise the smaller icons a little - thicker borders
and thicker pen should be enough (compare it e.g. with
preferences-desktop-peripherals, unfortunately I didn't created special
SVGs for smaller sizes, but the PNGs are exported from edited ones), in
the 16x16 I would remove most of the pen (so that only part of it will
be seen) as it is seems to small at this size when displayed whole.

More Echo icons to the Places menu

2007-09-26 Thread Martin Sourada
Hi,

I reworked three next icons (from which two is from the places menu and
the third is very similar the one of the other two) - document-open,
document-open-recent and user-desktop. All are at the same place as the
other icons in progress [1].

Comments welcome,
Martin

Re: Expanding utilities-terminal icons

2007-09-26 Thread Mark
I see you forgot to optimise it for pixel grid - some lines seems blurry
 - and it again has the wrongly positioned shadow. I can fix these
 issues.

You with your shadows and grids ^_^
i see nothing wrong in it (i must admit that i'm currently (and
temporary) working on a vert old 15 CRT monitor so it could be
because of that.)

Can you specify the blurry part some more?

No complain about the change. The new folder-remote is improved from the
current model. They can be pushed on git repository.

 Luya

Ok, I'll push them when I rework all the remaining folder icons
(folder-drag-accept, folder-open, folder-visiting) to avoid folder
styling inconsistency in the repository.

Please do. I will check the change later. Also, could you update the
image from
ToDo Menu page[1]? For some reason, I cannot snapshot with the menu.
