[Echo] network-workgroup icon fixing, status listings in git
Hi, I've prepared fixed version of the network-workgroup icon for all sizes. You can find the PNGs and SVGs at my pages [1]. Comments welcome. Next information is that I uploaded to the git lists of icons (those in specs are complete, those that are not in specs are to be filled) which are used to generate HTML tables that are in the status pages [2]. The generation programme is included as well. The sources are at the echo-icon-sources/generate-status-table [3]. Thanks, Martin References: [1] http://feannatar.hostuju.cz/fedora/Echo/Places/ [2] https://hosted.fedoraproject.org/projects/echo-icon-theme/wiki/IconThemeStatus/$CategoryName$ (Where $CategoryName$ stands for one of the icon categories, like Places or Actions) [3] http://git.fedoraproject.org/?p=hosted/echo-icon-theme;a=tree;f=echo-icon-sources/generate-status-table;h=040281b979c45ffcd5b55509a46dd405d06a6571;hb=HEAD signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list

It sounds reasonable, but I think better to wait a while for other people to get their opinion: this is what we want, to tie the artwork with a feature or do we want to tie with something else? Or to have no constraint at all? We want input from across Fedora not just within the art team. If the Board has ideas about where a release is going I think it couldn't hurt to hear them right! E.g., I think the best approach is just to gather all the ideas we get... maybe have a step before our round 1 proposals where we gather a whole list of ideas from throughout the community from which to make proposals from? ~m ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list

You know, Round 1 has easy requirements, we can blend this with Round 1 (maybe make it a bit longer too) and get more people to submit ideas, even if they are not part of the Art team nor skilled with graphics. -- nicu :: http://nicubunu.ro :: http://nicubunu.blogspot.com Cool Fedora wallpapers: http://fedora.nicubunu.ro/wallpapers/ Open Clip Art Library: http://www.openclipart.org my Fedora stuff: http://fedora.nicubunu.ro ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list

I think we could call this round .5. Also, we could start it right now. Yes everyone is really busy with the release in two weeks, but if they have any sort of scribbled down idea, we could start gathering them now in preparation for initial brainstorming with F9 -- ~Michael http://ridleytx.structed.net (for now) http://www.michaelbox.net (eventually) ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list

Took the rhgb image and scaled it to 400*248 then from the color of the active/inactive bar I've created a gradient. Kevin's comments: [22:20:23] I think it's a good idea, but the color transition somehow looks artificial. [22:20:50] Maybe a combination of recoloring both the top and the bottom by a small amount (small enough not to look recolored, large enough to get closer to each other) and a smoother gradient can make it look better? [22:21:14] But I have almost zero artwork experience and not a good sense of aesthetics. ;-) [22:21:33] So an actual artwork designer can probably make it look better. Michael's comments [22:14:52] for some reason, i want to see the inifity lines a little bit more [22:15:05] i kind of think they blend in a little bit too much [22:15:57] other than that, i don't see much that i'd change I'm not an artist and I agree with them. It's a bit artificial and I hope an artist could do some final touch. http://chitlesh.fedorapeople.org/art/kde-splash.png.svg Can any artist in here, add the blue gradient like on the preview.png and at the same time bring the lines of the infinity theme forward please (as soon as possible) ? Jakub, I've no intention to take over your proposal. If you like my proposal, please do take the lead :) regards, Chitlesh -- http://clunixchit.blogspot.com ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list
