Re: [Echo] New system-software-sources icon set
2008/9/3 Martin Sourada [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Hi, I've just finished (initial take of) system-software-sources icon set. I attach an one canvas PNG, SVG is available on my fedorapeople page [1], and a screen-shot of it in action ;-) Comments welcome, Martin References: [1] http://mso.fedorapeople.org/echo/Applications/system-software-sources.svg ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list Hi, That looks good! But perhaps it looks better is you change the color of one of those 2 boxes? right now it's so... brown.. Perhaps make the small box blue? just an idea to give it some color variation. Btw. i'm glad you use the new box colors. ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list
Re: [Echo] New preferences-desktop-locale icon set DRAFT
2008/9/3 Martin Sourada [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Hi, I've just finished (initial take of) preferences-destkop-locale icon set. I attach an one canvas PNG, SVG is available on my fedorapeople page [1], and a screen-shot of it in action ;-) The icon is currently really simple and I am not sure if everyone is OK with this level of simplicity. On the other hand I am not much sure about using UNO flag [2] for this icon (as is done by gnome and oxygen icon themes). Using national flags is also out of question. Comments? Suggestions? Your takes? Thanks, Martin PS: It's interesting to see how various applications handle mask functionality in inkscape (when the SVG is saved as Inkscape SVG). While nautilus does not display masked objects at all, webkit-gtk on the other hand display it as if no mask were applied. Epiphany (with xulrunner backend) will display it correctly. Of course, when exported to Plain SVG (which is done for the SVG icon that is put into scalable folders in git), nautilus is back in the game :-D With what you said about webkit and xulrunner (gecko).. Gecko displays it the way your png looks (like you said) but Webkit on the other hand... (in Google Chrome) has indeed the flag pole mask bug. perhaps try the webkit svn version to see if it works in there otherwise report a bug. So if it's worth anything.. confirmed your finding. That looks good for a flag with no border. My only suggestion would be to try this flag with a border and see how that looks. Photo for InvinXble
Hi all As we said some days ago, now I'got a shoot of the Katana for the InvinXble theme. http://flickr.com/photos/sstorari/2826852493/ Last question: What kind of license I need? I used a CC license, I hope it is the right one. Let me know if I had to make a change. Round 3 request? I need a list of all the materials we have to create in order to proceed with my proposals and the deadline? IIRC lock dialog isn't selected by default and therefore theme for it is not necessary, GDM is currently unthemed AFAIK, but you'll probably need a KDM theme. As for what *you* need to do: usually artwork is enough, but if you feel confident/adventurous enough, you can create complete themes (if they are not artwork-only) as well. 2008/9/4 Martin Sourada [EMAIL PROTECTED]: you'll probably need a KDM theme Samuele, if you're interested in theming KDE you can contact me via IRC (Stalwart on #fedora-kde, sometimes #fedora-art), jabber or email. I did KDM and KSplash themes for F9, i think i can do it again for F10 =) -- http://scwlab.com ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list
Re: Photo for InvinXble
2008/9/4 Martin Sourada [EMAIL PROTECTED]: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/ThemingOverview Not sure however, how much up-to-date it is... I just noticed KDE section is outdated. New KSplash engine in KDE4 is very flexible, with alpha blended PNG sprite animation (i did fade-in+slide-in icons for f9) so only thing that can't be done is alpha blending with desktop background (not even rounded corners possible) For KDM we (KDE SIG) would like to have userlist enabled by default, so even having pretty nice layouting abilities for graphics, widget layout can't be changed much. As i mentioned already, you're very welcome to #fedora-kde, we will appreciate that =) -- http://scwlab.com ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list
Good news about Echo
Fesco has accepted echo-icon-theme as default icon theme for Fedora 10.[1] Which means we need to push harder to include as many icons as possible using guideline and echo-artist tool now available on rawhide and is waiting for people to get them on both Fedora 8 and 9[2]. To get more details about echo-icon-theme, please visit the website[3].
