I don't get the purpose of the brown boxes. IMO, they do more wrong than
good, practically dive the image.

I finished the svg:
http://omploader.org/vamdx/growth_full.svg
and the widescreen version:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Image:Growth_wide.jpg
The colors look better when the tree is derived directly from the svg,
as in the widescreen version.

I'd have to re-do the tree in Inkscape for the svg, but creating a
wide-screen or dual-screen version will not be very difficult. I'll
have something uploaded to the wiki soon.

Put it on a dual-setup (not-withstanding)
a widescreen would pull the globe elliptical,
maybe a single screener can verify?
not too sure personally whether the yellowish tint
does anything

Do you have an svg that could be played with?

Ah I love the tree, the leaves are amazing! The background is a little
bit plain though, but perhaps you already have something in mind for
that? Maybe a texture of some sort?

Also, I'm a little unsure if using the outline of the Fedora logo
would be OK with the idea of not including branding on the
wallpaper...

F9 was sulphur, and for many that suggests hell. How about in F10 we
go with an image of heaven: Eden :)

Using too much green might be tromping on OpenSUSE's color palette.
Otherwise, I really like the idea. Maybe I can come up with something

F10 Theme Proposal: Growth

2008-05-25 Thread Jonathan Roberts
Hey all,

I was at the Eden Project today and saw this wall painting that I
thought might be a nice idea to base an F10 theme around:

http://jonrob.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/photo-0015.jpg

F9 was sulphur, and for many that suggests hell. How about in F10 we
go with an image of heaven: Eden :)

The part of this image I was most interested in was the tree and the
way you can see its roots going down beneath it - I was less
interested in the people in the picture but others might disagree!

Would love to hear thoughts and feedback :)

Best,

Jon
