The reason I'm asking before trying something in random is that rel-eng has not indicated what to do about cases like this, and there's no way for me to tell whether doing something like this will cause extra work for rel-eng, break rebuild-needed/failed tracking scripts or whatnot. I can guess, but I don't want to, and at the same time I want to try to point out that rel-eng has not given enough information to packagers and are not responding too quickly to related questions. Is this a known issue?
