GNU Linux distribution iso downloader/maintainer/updater
Hello, Fedorans! I recently discovered Beldi on our repos: https://belug.de/~beldi/ Very interesting. I, also, realized that I need some software like this that automatically downloads my prefered distros for avalability/testing purposes. The only problem with beldi is that I can't make it de-select the archs/ISOs I don't need/want. If anyone knows of a program, script or rsync line that could help me out with the following tasks: - download the ISO files of my preferred distros - update the iso files once the new ones are available and delete the old one (if desired) - get only my preferred archs - provides a list of other distros as suggestions/proposals This sounds like great software to me... is there anything available? Does anyone have an idea of what to use? I'm thinking there could be a central website that tracks download tendencies and, possible, proposes distros based in your tastes. Oh well, just dreaming about it. If anybody knows of something similar, please tell me. It's hard to be free... but I love to struggle! The 3 Gbps you speak of is the bandwidth of the controllers port, if your SATA drive is a SATA II variant, its port bandwidth is 300MB/s but you typically only achieve 1/4 of that for the device itself. This is how the use case for SAS expanders validates and how we can create SAN's with so many discs. Help out with the Fedora Crawler
Hola, Fedorans! I need some help maintaining the Fedora Crawler. This is a custom google search engine that looks into specific fedora sites so, for Fedorans, it's great for looking for help. You can add it to your iGoogle or your Firefox search, etc. Anyway, I'm sure we could make it better if some contributors stepped in. It's not hard to manage. I'll include this custom Google invitation if you want to join. Renich Bon Ciric has invited you to contribute to their custom search engine: Fedora Crawler. To accept this invitation and register for your account, visit http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=011057779923588025604%3Aakrqpglozlu In addition to contributing to other people's search engines, you can also build and deploy a search engine on your own website in a matter of a few minutes using Google Custom Search. If you're interested in creating your own search engine, click here to get startedhttp://www.google.com/coop/cse/ . To view all of the search engines you have created or are contributing to, you can visit your My search engineshttp://www.google.com/coop/manage/cse/page. Fedora Wiki proposal: The Fedoran Way
