HP Pavillion - Resume after suspend in Fedora 10.
I'm having problems with resume after suspende to ram or hibernate, my lap is a HP Pavilion dv6000. At resume it only turn on all the lights but the screen is black an there is no mouse and no keyboard respond. My lap specs are: * AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-60 (2.0 GHz, 512KB+512KB L2, bus 1600MHz) * 3GB -DDR2 a 667Mhz Memory * NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M As note, with fedora 9 it works without any problem. If you have an answer or any idea I will appreciate it. Thanks in advance. I'd like to take about 1K of the biggest files and move them to some other folder but don't see how to do this with the icon view turned on. So. Does anyone know how to invoke nautilus with a details view rather than icon view? Or, does anyone care to suggest some bash command that would move the largest 1K files to a new (specified) folder. Then I'd hope to be able to use this command repeatedly to get the files down to a manageable number. Try: find . -name \*.jpg -size +1k -exec mv -v {} big_file_dir/ \; Use man find for reference. Re: Error on fc10 install ( graphic mode )
2008/11/27 Iarly Selbir [EMAIL PROTECTED] I done the fedora installation using the DvD disc, without any mirror. The same DvD disc was used in other installation without any error. Try 'xdriver=vesa' as kernel parm (without ') Ricardo. The FATAL label means that the install can't work unless these errors are resolved. Perhaps someone knowledgeable can give a fix. Can you specify the mirror to use during the install? Hold down the shift key on boot from the CD or DVD and see if there is an option to do that. Then specify a mirror that you know is valid. i.e. surf over to it and grab a package. http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/publiclist/Fedora/10/ INFO: Running anaconda script /usr/bin/anaconda INFO: using only installclass _Fedora INFO: anaconda called with cmdline = ['/usr/in/anaconda', '--stage 2', I think this was only a typo, right? |should be bin 'cdrom:///dev/sr0:/mnt/stage2','--graphical','--selinux'] INFO: Display mode =g INFO: Started mini-wm INFO: Starting graphical installation INFO: ISCSID is /usr/sbin/iscsidid INFO: ISCSIADM is /usr/sbin/iscsiadm INFO: ISCSID is /usr/sbin/iscsidid INFO: Detected 1776m of memory INFO: Swap attempt of 1776M to 3552M WARNING: step installtype does not exist WARNING: step confirminstall odes not exist WARNING: step complete does not exist Some others informations: Link to machine specifications: http://www.itautec.com.br/iPortal/en-US/99b64047-439d-4b6d-9ad0-363e92f5daa7.htm Link to photo screen: http://picasaweb.google.com/iarlyy/Fedora10Cambridge#5273319191165273058 After alternate to graphic install ( alt + F7 ), only get exit when press poweroff button :( I haven't tried the text mode installation.
