Creating ISO's and Writing DVD's on F10

2009-02-05 Thread Aaron Gray
Are there any GUI tools for creating ISO's and burning DVD's on F10.

If there are what are they called ?

Many thanks in advance,

Aaron

Are there any that are already installed, as I dont have networking working
on this machine, or am I going to have to use command line tools ?

Many thanks,

Nautilus under Gnome should burn to a DVD. Nautilus is the default file
browser. Put in a DVD and it should open a window and say "Put files in
here and press BURN" to burn.

Alternative: Can you provide an external media source of some kind? USB
flash drive? DVD? Download the brasero RPM and manually install the RPM
(double click on the icon).

Install k3b, or look in the directory for sound and video, (its under
applications)

When you ask about creating ISO's, are you talking about DATA or Video
DVD's?

Most of the suggestions will work for creating DATA DVD's or burning
pre-created VIDEO_TS/* files.

Creating full Video DVD's is another matter.

The only issue with this is dependencies. The user may not have all the
other files needed when getting just K3b or Brasero.

If the user doesn't have networking working, can he get it working to do
a yum install.

I just did a yum deplist for brasero and ended up with this.

True. My solution for DVD creation is dvdstyler, vcdimager for VCD and SVCD.
