Unless things have changed, the network information you supply during
the installation is only used for the installation process, in case it
needs to use the network.  The system configuration is done, separately,
post-installation.  Either automatically, using Network Manager, or
manually by you.

That's interesting, DESPITE my including all networking information
during the installation, /etc/resolv.conf was empty.  I'd file a bug but
since it's not F11, I'm not going to bother.  Sorry to trouble everyone.


I just installed F10 for the first time on a server here.  The
installation went swimmingly, but the first time I ran 'yum update' I
got this:

Could not retrieve mirrorlist
http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-10&arch=i386
error was
[Errno 4] IOError: 
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository:
fedora. Please verify its path and try again

Can someone clue me in to the problem?
