Have you installed all updates?

Please provide details as mentioned by Tod.

Also provide /sbin/lspci

What is the output of:

#/sbin/ifconfig

#/sbin/route

/cat/etc/hosts

/cat/etc/resolv.conf

What kind of internet connection do you use?
