there is no problem what so ever with a mix of file systems on linux, so you can simply continue with your ext3 /home if you want. paul 2009/11/23 david walcroft d_j_...@bigpond.net.au I am going to clean install fc12 but I don't know how to handle this situation,my /home is ext3fs and I want format the rest of my directories as ext4fs,will the two fs get on together or am I going to format everything as ext4 and use my /home backup. You could also later convert /home to ext4 (with a full backup at hand just in case).
