Thank you .. gene/ Unless they came up with a new way of doing it, you will probably have to create a /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, and add some buttons to the mouse configuration. I suspect that there is a different way to tell the system that you mouse has extra buttons and what to do about them. (Does HAL handle this now?) It would seem a shame to have to create an xorg.conf just for the mouse if the system already works perfectly well (for X) without one. I have had to fiddle with hal policy to get all my touchpads working as they should in F11 (mainly for kdm reasons) but I would not mind betting there is a hal policy file that can be created to cope with the BT mouse case? Maybe one of the hal experts on the list could comment/help? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/f11---bt-mouse-random-jump-tp24436881p24493042.html Sent from the Fedora List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@redhat.com To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines

Both of mine are kensington - I do notice that if I open firefox with a wide page (or narrow firefox) with a horizontal scroll bar - nudge left (or right) are received and firefox scrolls - however the mouse cursor still jumps to top left corner responding to that same nudge. a) regardless of whether I can choose what to do with wheel left or wheel right the panel should not steal the cursor! b) How does one (on a per user basis please) program mouse click responses ? gene/ -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@redhat.com To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines

Naturally. Have you considered there might be a hardware peoblem? b) How does one (on a per user basis please) program mouse click responses ? This is part of the desktop manager. Yes - gnome - I gave up on kde sadly ... kde used to be very configurable which I really liked ... but around 4.something I gave up about the same time Linus did and moved to gnome. -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@redhat.com To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines
