Steorn beat you to it :)

People who develop "joe cell" and "hho gas" don't claim that this goes
agaings thermodynamic laws.
There was a discussion on this topic in links I gave in digg comments
so I encourage you to read it.

I have enough physics background to understant the contraversy for and
agaings this. Please read this:
http://snipurl.com/2keuc

I personally believe that the story about Daniel Dingle is probably
much less a hoax that this story, but there is a connection between
dinglef foundation (http://www.dinglefoundation.com/) and this company
called Ethos.

I would ask you to first look at this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVhXrvCCILw

I first heard about water powered cars about 1-2 years ago and since
then I occasionally google for news about water cars and about Daniel
Dingle. If you look on youtube for "water car", "joe cell", "hho gas"
you will find lots and lots of videos. That is ofcourse no proof but
that at least looks it is not a hoax by one person. So it this is a
hoax it is really well organized and spread around the whole world
because there are videos from Philipines, Austalia, New Zeland, USA,
etc...

So it looks like there could be something more here, but I will let
you come to your own conclusions but at least do some online
investigations yourself and then post your conclusions here.

Don't you people watch the Mythbusters? They busted this long ago. :)

(And for those that do, I know it's for modifying an existing internal
combustion engine. Think more tongue in cheek.)

Hi Valent;

I have been watching this Dingle story for a couple of years. And I saw
the Japanese story a few weeks ago.

>From everything I can read, the story deserves 'suspended disbelief'. I
remain highly sceptical ("perpetual motion" and "cold fusion") but
watchful and ready to be proven wrong when I see a car actually running
on and fueled by water; confirmed by reputable engineering and
scientific third parties. A large investment by a major car manufacturer
would certainly make the story more plausible.

They don't work too well in the winter here is Wisconsin - the
clothes tend to freeze before they get dry. It makes them hard to
fold unless you bring them inside and let them sit for a while. :)

Sorry what does this silly idea have to do with Fedora (hint: if you
think food is a short resource try water..)

Careful - there are sound useful reasons for solar powered clothes driers
that go via electricity or steam first.

Jeeez, Alan. I'm impressed that you know that steam is a major source
for heating industrial dryers! Tip O' The Wayward4now Hat! Ric

p/s hot oil is more popular nowadays.

William, I checked around that japanese water car and some reporters
believe [1] that this japanese car is nothing special. It seams that
is uses some sort of catalyst that is used during the driving and
needs to be replaced from time to time.

If they make a cheap and ecological catalyst that would be a
revolution. We would get a green eco-friendly car and that is cheap to
drive.

Still "Joe Cell" [2] seams not to be investigated by real scientists, too bad :(
