Introducing myself

2009-11-25 Thread Tareq Al Jurf
Hi
I'm Tareq Al Jurf. I'm from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I'm a last year high
school student. My goal is to spread Fedora in Riyadh or any other place in
Saudi Arabia or any Arab country. I'd like people to use, know about and
join the Fedora Project. I've already started convincing students in my
school and online to migrate to Fedora. Although i don't have any marketing
certification, I think that i gained experience in marketing Fedora. I'll
try hard because in Saudi Arabia less than 5% know anything about linux.
I wish that you accept me at the team :)

Thanks in Advance

Welcome, Tareq! I've approved your membership request in FAS.

What Marketing projects are you interested in working on (or starting)?
We have a few listed at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing#Projects, along with the
deliverables we do for every release
(https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing#Fedora_12_release_deliverables) we
do for every release.

We're also at the beginning of the F13 planning cycle right now, so this
is the perfect time to come up with new ideas. As an Ambassador, you're
in a particularly good position to think about the kinds of initiatives
that would help Marketing support Ambassadors, too.
