I wouldn't add INSTALL to %doc since it doesn't contain anything useful for the
user of the rpm package. (You do know that you can list multiple files in a
%doc line?)

The package has been

APPROVED

(In reply to comment #5)
I guess the no-documentation ones can be ignored.
You should also use the python_sitelib macro, as the module should live in
  /usr/lib64/python2.5/...

Plan on doing that but it somewhere slightly non default (looking at my system
its not the only one that does it) but I have reported it upstream and will
 correct.

You'd just need to move the directory in your install section. With that fix
done, approved.

I'll strip out INSTALL before it hits CVS.
Yes I know that I can list multiple files, but as long as there isn't a
plethora, one per line makes it a bit more legible to me at least.

Yes, I agree that that's the best thing to do with what we have, but the
biggest doubt here is whether upstream globus is legally allowed to add a new
license an top of the existing one or not.

FE-Legal usually responds in a couple days. You can send an email to their

Well, this package was setup, but never imported or built. ;(
It was also recently orphaned because of an inactive maintainer. ;(

So, perhaps we should close this one, and you can re-open your submission?
(You might look at the package here to see if there is any way to improve your
submission).

Potential for {?dist} being mixed with an {?alphatag} suffix, I’ve seen a
format being used similar to this
 Release: 1%{?dist}.20090503cvs

Have a link?

Concern over %{dist} tag location when using snapshot release

It is indeed correctly used.

(In reply to comment #16)
Sorry, I've been busy this past week.

I'm waiting on you to merge the changes from Ryan that you think are
appropriate and then post new versions of the spec file and srpm.

Ok, that is the kind of stuff that I don't know hoe to procede, that is way I
ask things like that is the way in witch packages are treated.., meaning that
I don't know ho is making the changes and from ho are they take itI was
under the impresion that the Ryan attached .spec files was the updated ones,
so no idea that you was waiting to me to merge the changes...

So, ok here are the updated files:
http://www.ic.uach.cl/mhenriquez/fedora10-monoRPMS/monodevelop-debugger-mdb.spec
http://www.ic.uach.cl/mhenriquez/fedora10-monoRPMS/monodevelop-debugger-mdb-2.0-1.1.fc10.src.rpm

Hope that sitll can make it at least for fed11 updates...what about the gdb
one?

Cheers,

Mauricio

Done.

- No smp enabled build

The build step is a single sed call.
I will add smp if you insist, but it really makes no sense at all.

- Please replace

%{_sysconfdir}/dbus-1/system.d/cnetworkmanager.conf

%config(noreplace) %{_sysconfdir}/dbus-1/system.d/cnetworkmanager-06.conf

I don't think these are supposed to be config files.
See gdm, NetworkManager, ConsoleKit, etc. None of them mark them as config.
Users should not be editing these. It's just a bug that they are under /etc/ I
guess.

- Package contains a source file with has a public domain copyright note

I only looked at ConsoleKit and gdm.

I guess we can run this by the packaging folks and see what they suggest.

I would point out to globus upstream that they do not have permission to change
the licensing terms on that file. Also, since this is an exact copy of the
openssl headers, why are we even using it? We should be using the system
openssl-devel files.

--- Comment #35 from Nicolas Chauvet (kwizart) kwiz...@gmail.com 2009-05-12
17:04:59 EDT ---
Is there many differences between 0.1.0 stable and the today's snapshot.

/usr/share/doc/yafaray-0.1.0/SConstruct is probably not wanted there.

Abput /usr/share/blender/scripts/yaf_export.py , Are you sure we haven't any
problem with the use of such architecture independant directory, against files
been in /usr/lib64/python*/site-packages/ ?
(every .so and .py? should be in the same architecture dependent directory,
probably - at least It, that's what I would expect)
Furthermore, yafaray may require to write configuration files (relative to the
given user), so this is aimed to be

This file : /usr/share/doc/yafaray-blender-0.1.0/yafaray-snapshot.sh
Doesn't need to be in %doc as it has nothing to do with yafaray-blender
subpackage. (can be provided within the cvs anyway).

I am the author and upstream maintainer of this backend. It has been available
on sourceforge for some time. The package is included in FreeBSD ports
collection.
Similar code is also included in Sane 1.20 for support of Canon network

18:23:45 EDT ---
(In reply to comment #15)
I would point out to globus upstream that they do not have permission to
 change
the licensing terms on that file. Also, since this is an exact copy of the
openssl headers, why are we even using it? We should be using the system
 openssl-devel files.

I have filed a bugzilla report upstream about the license issue:

http://bugzilla.globus.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=6736

Globus is using the system openssl-devel header files when possible. However,
this file is not installed by a normal openssl installation, and is therefore
not part of the openssl-devel package. So there is no system version to use of
this file.

Is there many differences between 0.1.0 stable and the today's snapshot.

Is this a question or an affirmative?

/usr/share/doc/yafaray-0.1.0/SConstruct is probably not wanted there.

I adapted the spec for building either the snapshot or the official release.

Abput /usr/share/blender/scripts/yaf_export.py , Are you sure we haven't any
problem with the use of such architecture independant directory, against
 files
 been in /usr/lib64/python*/site-packages/ ?
(every .so and .py? should be in the same architecture dependent directory,
probably - at least It, that's what I would expect)
Furthermore, yafaray may require to write configuration files (relative to the

I did not change this yet. I have to think what to do.

 This file : /usr/share/doc/yafaray-blender-0.1.0/yafaray-snapshot.sh
Doesn't need to be in %doc as it has nothing to do with yafaray-blender
subpackage. (can be provided within the cvs anyway).

Done.
