 Correct

I'm about to send the an email to fedora-trans-list about getting more
  translations for the countdown.

I already asked opinions for translations to the Italian team. At
first glance, it could be an issue to keep the coming and arriving
 concepts distinct after translation.
Is the text set in stone or can we tune it to ease translations?
It's up to the translator's best judgement to make it sound natural in
their language. If it's necessary to change the words a bit, feel free.

Thanks,
Ricky

Hi Ricky,

By the way, would it be possible to make an updated version of the 1 day
banner? Right now, it says 1 days, and where it should be 1 day.
The same might be true for the Italian one.

sorry for the mistake, today afternoon I'll re-upload corrected version for
both languages.

I'm about to send the an email to fedora-trans-list about getting more
translations for the countdown. Any idea who I can refer translators to
if they need help work the graphics work and who they should send their
translated SVGs to in order to be generated?

You can give my contact (hydr...@gmail.com) for those they need some
assistance about banner creation.

Hi gianluca, [I'm novastorm ;-)]

Today I'll correct the banner...do you have some ideas for italian
translation?
Feel free to contact me if you need some help. You can also modify banner
source by yourself if you want.

 The source SVG is at
 http://fedoraproject.org/static/images/counter/en/deepsky-fedora11-countdown-banner_en.svg

You may need to install the mgopen-fonts package to see the fonts
properly. I'm not totally who to send these to generate the PNGs, but
you can send the translated SVGs for now.

Please send two SVGs: One with the translation for the singular
arriving in 1 day and one for the plural arriving in XX days

I'll try to get somebody from the art team to send some more specific
instructions and to help out with the this is possible.

It's very ugly at least for Persian and Balochi. I've made a test for
its translation but outcome is too bad :D. Blurs makes it unclear.

Looking at the SVG, Paolo, I think it can be made more friendly for
translations (sorry for not checking this earlier), something like
putting all the text to be translated outside the canvas and use
clones... is not a good idea to have the text to be translated twice,
one time as normal text and another time as a halo and everything under
a complex structure of groups.

Keep in mind that our translators are not necessary Inkscape power-users.

Thanks a lot, I just pushed the updated images. Also, I asked the
translation teams to send translated SVGs to you to be generated (they
should send two SVGs, 1 for the singular, and one for the plural).

Thanks for doing the banners,
Ricky
