Please add Charlie to CLS list he passed Sunday night and today we had to pts
his little sister Oscar (she chose that name). She has been small and delicate
all her life. She stopped eating Sunday and was in a lot of pain from kidney
failure. I think she really wanted to go with Charlie. They were both felv+.
Charlie was 15 and Oscar was 12 years old. My heart is breaking, I miss them so
much. It seems that in my house they leave in two's. I know they are together
and know longer sick so I will try to remember only the good days. Give your
babies extra love tonight. Sheila

That is cute. I have one kitty, Kisa, who isn't scared of anything at all,
including the vacuum. She doesn't even flinch when I try using the vacuum on
her. It is because of her fearlessness, that I would never let her go outside.
I don't think she would move out of the way of a car.

  Hi all,
I know I haven't been here in awhile, but I always come back as you guys are
the most understanding and compassionate people that I have ever met..
I lost Albert today, May 15 a few minutes before 4pm. He went into sudden
cardiac failure.
He hadn't been sick until yesterday as he started showing some signs of maybe
a urinary tract infection which turned out to be his heart..probably due to
some long standing hyper-t.
He was felv-. We added his sister, Alberta to CLS back in Jan. I just
wanted him there with her. I also lost Striper (hit by a car) on April 16. So
it hasn't been a good year so far.
To those of you that remember Inky, he is now 20yrs and 9 months. Fingers
crossed he keeps doing well.
Albert had just turned 16 on April 12.
Thank you all as always for listening and caring..
You and your kitties are always in our prayers,

Thank you.

Tomi is still doing ok *fingers crossed*. In fact i've even gotten him to
eat a raw poultry diet now, instead of only dry food. I'm following the
recipe on this site http://www.catnutrition.org/recipes.html.

Hopefully he's thinking that i've finally figured out the proper food to
give him instead of all that canned junk.

Cassandra,

I'm so happy to hear about Tomi's recovery! How
wonderful! I'm equally saddened to hear about your
Koda. I hope she's able to pull through this like
Tomi did. Prayers for peace going out for you and
your family.

Well, Tomi seems to be doing much better after his
crash 2 weeks ago. He is acting alot more like his
normal self, though I think he still is a little
anemic. I don't understand how his PCV can go so
low, then go back up on its own. I am hoping all
the prayers helped him and he will continue to
improve.

I'm weaning him off the Prednisone, and though I
can't get him to eat anything other than chicken
liver and dry food, at least he is eating again.
I've tried about 12 different brands of quality
canned foods, plus homemade, and he will only take a
few licks before he runs off licking and scratching
himself.

We seem to be destined for only a small break in
fortune though, as our oldest cat, Koda, is now
dying. We found Koda about 12 years ago. She was
emaciated, and her ears, nose, and feet were
frostbitten. We're not sure how old she was, but we
guess she was at least 2-3 years at the time.

Last summer she was diagnosed with diabetes, which
we've controlled mainly with diet. Recently, we
noticed she was quite constipated, and took her to
the vet for an enema. She seemed fine up to that
point, even though she was constipated. When we
brought her home though, she wouldn't eat (very odd
for her), and was lethargic.

We took her back to the vet, and she ended up
spending 2 days and 2 nights there. They said her
kidneys and liver were failing. We brought her home
today, since they couldn't do much more for her. At
least she will be more comfortable at home. I don't
think she will last the weekend though. She's too
weak to move, and feels cold. She is also crying
some, and I hope she is not in pain :(.

I guess i'm hoping she will somehow pull through
this like Tomi did. I just wish that my family
could get out of crisis for awhile and return to
normal.

Cassandra

Plastic Bag Kitties

My adorable tuxedo Billi Bi loves those plastic bags from the grocery

Okay, I have a Siamese ever since he was a baby (6 weeks old rescue)
he has a fetish for plastic. Especially the plastic bags from the
grocery stores it doesn't matter which store it's from.

He will lick it or love it.
He has been tested and there is nothing medically wrong with him.
He is almost 5 years old.
Anyone have a kitty that does this?
