Sally,

I know too well what you mean about that knot in your gut; that is exactly how I get when there is any deviation from the norm.

Carolina got the usual vaccines for the kitty diseases and also rabies.  She has not reacted before, but she has not had any vaccination for over 3 years.  She is not Felv+, last tested over 3 years ago.

She threw up a hairball last night and a bit more bile.  She seems okay otherwise.

Thanks for answering.

Some cats are okay with it.

No, I asked the vet about OTC remedies. He couldn't think of any.  I forgot about Pepcid; Iused to give that to my CRF kitty.

Thanks, Gloria.

Carolina to Vet or Not?

2005-04-28 Thread Sharon Siders

Friends,

Carolina is throwing up bile, yesterday some undigested food and then bile.  There was some hair and a bit of dried baby's breath in it this morning.  she is eating and drinking and roaming around as usual.

The vet wanted me to bring her in, but I'm hesitating.  It seems like every time I take a kitty to the vet, he or she is sicker after.  I know this is nuts, but I fear that I will hear some awful prognosis.  Am I harming Carolina by not taking her in?

I don't think I'm very rational right now.  Things that happened with docs and my mom are clouding my judgment.
