I Need Prayers for Callie

2005-12-06 Thread Tad Burnett

Dam this disease... We rushed my beautiful little dilute calico
from AW to the vet early this morning...I found her lying on the
floor this morning, cold and almost lifeless and did a terrible
sick sounding cry when I picked her up...I wrapped her in a jacket
and got her warmed up and she came back to life a bit
She apparently had diarrhea in the night and was very dehydrated...
The vet gave her sub Q and will draw blood for testing if she
gets any stronger...She seemed herself yesterday morning...
She was the alfa cat in the room and was always with me when
I was there and always the 1st to come for food ...
Last night she slept in the cat tube instead of right beside or on me
and didn't come for the last snack of the day as usual but I free feed
dry food and didn't think that much of it until this morning when she
wasn't climbing on me to wake up
She recovered from being such a mess at AW to such a good
kitty and I never thought this was going to happen so soon but
now all I can do is hope she will bounce back...
Tad

Dear Tad, I'm sending prayers and healing vibes for Callie, that she
will bounce back. At least you were able to lose no time in having her
taken to the vet. Kerry

Dear Tad,

Tad, I am praying so hard for your baby,
Callie, what you described me reminded of how I found my baby Garfunkle.. he
was find until the night before, and the next morning, I found him lying on the
floor not moving so cold, so cold that the thermometer did not register and I
wrapped him up and took to the vet right away.

Dont give up though the vet
thought I should put him sleep that day, I brought him home and gave warm fluid
and in a couple of days, he bounced back (the vet was amazed by it..) in a
couple of days. Garfunkle was not FelK positive, but he had advance liver problem

Are you giving her Interferon? I
personally have not used it, but I know lots of people on the list do
sounds like a she is a fighter.. I am praying that she will bounce back very
very soon! I know its hard to be positive sometime.. please be
and tell Callie that she can get through this with you (thats what I
told my Garfukle..when he first crashed) I am sending you lots of healing
vibes!

Love to you and Callie,

Hideyo
