I laughed-- you are like us-- but be careful! If you make them too
cozy and give them too much food, they may reproduce more. I am
not sure that making them a shelter and keeping them locked in,
with all the comforts and food of home, is such a good idea. You
may literally end up with thousands of mice in a small space.

Someone to donate their barn... Lol, thanks for the chuckle. Where
else but on a list like ours would you find someone who would consider
purposely "infesting" a barn with re-located mice :)? Maybe you could
build a big mouse shelter on your property where you could put a
protected food source, with lots of nooks and crannies to keep them
happy and warm. Maybe they'd be so pleased with their new territory
they'd decide "their" house was better than yours.

I'm sorry for your dilemma, but it is giving me a nice warm holiday
feeling thinking of those mice finding their way into such a loving
human's protection. Once you start naming them and discovering their
individual personalities, you'll be calling those clever cat habitat
architects to construct yet another sanctuary. Is there such a thing as
a mouse hoarder?

Hugs to you and your hubby Kelly,
Nina

Oh, there will be more! Mice and rats make lovely companions, (I had

these babies, I'd make sure they have access to the outside!

Cute! Pet mice!

I worked at a feed store years ago, you know, horse feed and hay and such.
Anyways,
we had a store cat, he was supposed to keep the mouse population down. One day
my
boss was rearranging the feed stacks, and found a nest of baby mice. Neither
one of
us really wanted to kill them ourselves, so I went and got Thomas (the cat) and
sat
him right next to them and said "Look Thomas! Yummy kitty snacks!" The cat
looked up
at me like I had three heads and yawned, curled up beside the mice and went
back to
sleep. LOL! (the boss ended up killing the mice, in a feed store, you really
just
can't have mice, they destroy the stock too quickly)

On the lighter side...Amazingly with multitudes of cats we do have a
mouse problem, No, I do not hurt them but my attempts at relocation
to the garage , even though it is detached seems to have failed.
Out of desperation I went and purchased a big clear plastic bin at
,,,made hundreds of air holes in the top and filled it with
bedding,,toy, food etc,,,Got one the first night,,did not get any
more for 3 days and I was worried he/she might be lonely.Well by day
4 he had room mates,,Well I went to clean it out a bit and discovered
one had given birth,a cute little nest with tiny little pink
babies for Xmas.
So now we need to build a safe shelter in the back acre for them, My
husband got some hay bales today and I will make them a nice safe
shelter to relocate them to,,
We are trying to go to Hawaii next week for our daughters wedding and
between our business,,the over 40 cats,4 dogs it was tough Now it is
the mice,,,

They are cute though.
