I think it's strange for people
--like the vet---to think it strange to become attached to an animal
that's not conventionally kept as a pet.

Though he rarely seems worried about anything, to tell you the truth.
Although he has sheep himself (he breeds them), he is a horse vet and seems to
think it strange that we are so close to Lamby.  He told us once that we
have a dog rather than a sheep, because of how she acts with us.

We were (and are still somewhat) very worried because this happened almost
to the day, if not the same day, that she got blood in her urine last year
from copper poisoning and almost died. It seems to be something different, thank
god, but how strange.

The vet was just here. He took blood and urine sample. He thinks she has
a vaginal or uterine infection (maybe pyometra) and put her on penicillin
prophylactically until we know for sure. He said she is so bright and feisty,
color good, etc. that he is not that worried at this point and thinks she
  probably has a localized infection.
