Subject: [FivCats] New
FIV
Sanctuary

Hello
all
my name is Katie and i am opening an FIV
sanctuary
in iowa.
our
building should be completed by the end of
july or
beginning of
august.  we plan to rescue cats with FIV,
FeLK, and Diabetes.
currently, i operate Kitties from Heaven,
a
no-kill, non profit feline
rescue. We take in healthy cats of all
ages from
pretty much anywhere
and find them new homes.  our building
will
be specifically for
special needs kitties, and each type of
kitty will
have their own
room.  we will have a cage free
environment
with plenty of places for
kitties to climb and hide.  we feed all of
our kitties a hard food
diet with vitamin suppliments, unless
medical
needs require otherwise.
currently we have one FIV cat, two
diabetics, and
two FeLK cats here,
and three FIV kitties waiting for
transport.
We believe we will be
able to accept up to 12 of each type of
cat, but
won't know for sure
until the building is constructed and we
see just
how much room there
is.  12 will be the minimum number, though.
our requirements for acceptance are as
follows:
1) cats must be spayed/neutered (or come
with a
monetary donation for
the surgery... $40)
2)  Cats must be healthy (other than their
initial diagnosis
3)  Cats must be free of parasites
4)  We ask for a small donation for each
cat
to help with future
medical care.  all donations will be kept
for
the cat with which they
were recieved, and will not be put into a
general
fund.

Please keep my information for future
referance,
and let me know if
you have any questions.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks
Katie

Thanks! I didn't put a phone number since I was at
work all day and wouldn't be able to answer anyway. I
got the vet to spay her today and she also pulled a
couple teeth. She can hold her a couple more days
since I told her I would definitely find somebody no
matter what. Hopefully I get some response.
Thanks again.

fine in the cage and will do ok in an indoor home.
I'm getting married in a couple weeks and I have a
very sick leuk positive at my home now so I just can't
introduce this one into my home. Would anybody be
willing to take her? She will spay her and worm her
free of charge and I can transport her. She is an
adult, possibly 3 or 4, don't know at this point.
