The sofalizer filter requires external files in the "sofa"-format (*.sofa). Here : https://www.sofaconventions.org/mediawiki/index.php/Files some sources are mentioned. I only get a Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. [FFmpeg-user] very strong contrast enhancement
Which is the recommended filter for a very strong contrast enhancement, up to a factor of 10? The eq=contrast=... filter allows only a maximum of 2. Could this be changed to allow higher values? As a workaround I'm using 3 or 4 cascaded eq filters. I did also try geq=r='5*r(X,Y)':g='5*g(X,Y)':b='5*b(X,Y)' but this filter is slow and it seems there is no limiter when an overflow occurs. Are there any other filters for strong contrast enhancement? In my opinion it would make more sense to have a (second) threshold option for suppressing small differences, for example noise. I mean alter the source pixel only if the difference is greater than the threshold value. The sole point of filter is usage in forensics to amplify small pixel changes in static video. But it could be added to filter, sure it would not hurt to extend its funcionality. Sounds good. I have videos of the night sky and want to amplify fast moving objects, especially meteors. But I don't want to amplify the noise. Done. Thank you! I'm just testing it.
