[filmscanners] RE: Service/cleanup for Nikon LS-30 in the UK?
Thanks, I'll check it myself. I wonder whether this procedure should work on LS-40 as well. What do you think ? If it is built in the same way, I presume so, but I'm not familiar with that scanner. [filmscanners] Fog filter effect when using ICE and Nikon scan 3!!!
HI All, A client of mine has a Nikon LS 2000 running on Mac OS 9.2.2. When he uses Digital Ice with the latest Nikon 3 Scan the scans look as if the was a heavy fog filter put over it. This was tried in both Photoshop 6 and 7. Using Nikon Scan 2 there is no fog effect. I trashed all Nikon files and reinstalled about three times an still get the same behavior. He said it just started to happen one day - he was using Nikon Scan 3 prior with no problems. I checked all the scanner preferences. Have custom monitor set - just like in Nikon 2. We scanned new and old ektachromes just to make sure it was not the film. Has anyone seen this? Any ideas? Thanks, John V.
