RE: filmscanners: New software from Binuscan

2001-11-27 Thread Mikael Risedal

Hello David
The software helps me to get out the best of a image regarding RGB . CMYK,
colors, saturation, histogram, and USM . The software shows burned and
freezed pixels in the histogram. The bX-ray give me a indication how well
the original is from the beginning. The photo
saturation shows me how much color I can give the picture with out any
printing problem. The Jpg removal is fantastic- removing and cleaning the
picture with out any sharpness looseness.
I know that Binuscan are producing a new pdf- info regarding Photo Retouch
Pro.
Download and read it. My English is not good enough to describe all the
advantages with this program
I strongly recommend Binuscan Retouch Pro if you ar working with press,
or commercial photos.

PS David ! What F-stop has the lens in a SS4000 scanner ???
Mikael

Mikael,
I know this is different from the regular binuscan software. Could you give
a brief overview of the program and its functionality?
Thanks
David

I saw this software at the Newspaper Association of America show in June
and it looked pretty good. However, it is Mac only at this point. Also,
it appeared to be oriented towards publication work rather than
printing. Some types of processing, especially selective corrections,
seemed far easier than with PS.
