I've modified VueScan 7.0 to make it scan in the exact order the frames are specified (i.e. "6 5 4 3 2 1" (or "6-1") to scan in reverse order). That way all the default settings can be controlled by mouse. How about a batch scan process where you type in the range of frames, set the crop for maximum and press "scan"?
