AW: [Finale] augmentation

2006-03-23 Thread Oliver Pospiech
Lynn, thank you very much! Oliver

Using the Mass Mover tool, select the measure, then select Change->Duration
and increase the notes duration. If you tell it to rebar the notes it'll
bounce them out to two measures and bounce the rest of the measures out
accordingly.

Re: [Finale] Chords - horizontal placement

2006-03-23 Thread Chuck Israels
Lee,You do that in the chord tool.  Click the handle of the chord in question, look on the upper right of the dialog box that comes up and make sure that "Show Advanced" is selected.  Then look at the bottom and click on "edit".  Then you are in control of horizontal and vertical placements of all elements of the chord suffix. If you want to edit all instances of that chord suffix, click on "select" and the chord library will show, and you can edit each symbol. At the risk of sounding like a commercial for Bill Duncan (again), his chord font is particularly attractive to me.  If it looks good to you (see ), and it's worth it to pay for that, rather than spend time fussing, that's an alternative.  I spent a long time getting a chord suffix library that was acceptable to me and then converted to Bill's chords, because I found them more attractive and easier to read than my own.ChuckOn Mar 23, 2006, at 9:59 AM, LEE DENGLER wrote: Chuck, Thanks!  Now, what about raising the 7 in a 7th chord?   Lee - Original Message - From: Chuck Israels To: finale@shsu.edu Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2006 10:15 AM Subject: Re: [Finale] Chords - horizontal placement Lee,Document Options>Chords>Chord Alteration Baseline Adjustment.    Put in a positive number for each element you want to raise.ChuckOn Mar 23, 2006, at 6:44 AM, LEE DENGLER wrote: Hi All, How do you raise the horizontal placement for flats, sharps, etc. in chord symbols?  Thanks to anyone who can help. Lee DenglerMinister of Music and Arts - College Mennonite ChurchAssistant Professor of Music - Goshen CollegeDirector - Goshen Community ChoraleComposer, Editor, Engraver574-535-7262___Finale mailing listFinale@shsu.eduhttp://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finaleChuck Israels 230 North Garden Terrace Bellingham, WA 98225-5836 phone (360) 671-3402 fax (360) 676-6055 www.chuckisraels.com ___Finale mailing listFinale@shsu.eduhttp://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale___Finale mailing listFinale@shsu.eduhttp://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale Chuck Israels 230 North Garden Terrace Bellingham, WA 98225-5836 phone (360) 671-3402 fax (360) 676-6055 www.chuckisraels.com ___

[Finale] Canzona for Gambas or Trombones

I am working on a little "Canzona" for Gambas or Trombones, and I need
exactly the kind of incipit that you have in your example. >>

As a trombone player with a fair amount of duets, trios & quartets etc etc
that I enjoy playing whenever I can drag others into it, I'm interested in
this!
How many instruments is it scored for? Is this your composition, or...?
Is this a job for a client, or might this piece be available?

thanks,

  Lee,

  Document Options>Chords>Chord Alteration Baseline Adjustment.
Put in a positive number for each element you want to raise.
