[Finale] Sonata Font
I have some old files that use the Sonata font, mainly for one-off text expressions. The font is loaded in my (MacOS Leopard) system, and it shows up in other apps like Word. But it does not show up in Finale, and when I open Finale files with this font it gets an ugly and meaningless substitute. [Finale] Overriding the barline on an individual staff
In versions prior to Fin11 I used single-staff groups to override the barlines in various situations. Fin11 capriciously changed so that single-staff groups do not override barlines. This is giving me grief in a cutaway score where each instrument gets is final double barline in different places. For anyone on the list who does this, how do you do it in Fin12? It worked so well pre-Fin11 it makes me sick that they broke it. I'm not saying Group barlines are the ideal way to do this. A better way would be staff styles.
