 2014.5 is on it's way soon and works well in El Capitan but I'm still not
 going to publicly state a release date : )
 My priority this last year has been to continue to update the codebase,
 improve performance and bug fixes. All plug-ins have been updated and many
 longstanding plug-in bugs have been addressed. FinaleScript got extra
 attention and now works better than ever.

The plug-in he is referring to is the Dolet plugin which is a free
download at the Finalemusic web-site.

There is a version for Finale and also a version for Sibelius and they
provide more robust export/import of MusicXML files than the versions
which are included with Finale and Sibelius.
