Instrument.txt did indeed disappear in Finale 2012, but you still need it
if you want to run 2010.

Instrument.txt did indeed disappear in Finale 2012, but you still need it if 
you want to run 2010.

AFAIK, Instruments.txt does not longer exist. Instrument definitions are
hardwired and compiled and determined by the programmers, we no longer have
an option to define instruments.
