OK...here we go. The first 10 times I tried to print to the 5000 out of WinFin26, it crashed without even choosing the 5000. The 11th time was a charm, and now it's working 100% fine. Go figure. Everything works perfectly with WinFin 26--duplex, 11x17 paper, 1200dpi, etc. Today I set up an old LaserJet 5000 to network on 192.168.1.20. Parallel print server identical to the one on the 8150. Went to print a document in WinFin 26--CRASH. Wouldn't even let me select the 5000. *EVERY other program I have that prints, music or otherwise, works FINE with the 5000 on 192.168.1.20. Finale 26 is the ONLY program that refuses to print to the 5000...can't even select it. *Finale 26 works FINE with every other printer I have, network or USB. Yes, I have restarted everything...Finale, computer, printer itself, my euphonium, etc. Looked at the FINALE.INI and didn't recognize anything related to printers. Advice, anybody??? James C. Re: [Finale] Font issues in Mac OS X 10.15
If the Bill Duncan font is one of the old Adobe Postscript fonts, I would not count on it being fixed. In fact, 64-bit Finale currently has issues with those. You can convert Adobe Postscript to a newer format using Tinker Tool. (Ironically, a 32-bit app but runnable in a virtual if necessary.) I recommend Open Type (ota) as the new format. Having said that, I suppose you saw Makemusic's email about not running 10.15 until they make an official announcement about compatibility with Finale.
