[Finale] Copying Chord names to a new staves slash notation

I've entered Chords above a piano part. I now want to copy 'just' the  
chords to a newly created stave w/ slashes and rests for gtr/slash  
rhythm chart.

I've selected copy entry items ' only chords' but it's not working.
Any suggestions?

[Finale] Finale - disappearing measures at end

I often work with multiple pages displayed. I try to forward to page  
4 and it's gone. I hit the go to end icon and it just locks at page  
3. The only fix is to add a measure [at end] then delete it and the  
end pages reappear. Any solutions?

[Finale] mid measure repeats

I was asked to create a piano accomp score for a Korean wedding song.  
the published lead sheet handed to me by the client

was in 3/4 and had
mid measure repeats [related to the two eighth note pickups.]

Is this possible in Finale. I circumvented the problem with 2 endings  
and repeat bars. But what if the client wants it just like the original?

Can I enter a difficult passage in half time - playing eighth notes  
and then use an edit command to shrink the performance in half -  
sixteenth notes appear?

[Finale] In finale 2012, maybe driven internal sounds quit working after computer falls asleep.

It seems I enter data with my midi keyboard attached and it's driving the 
internal sounds. After the computer is asleep for a while and I come back to 
work again the keyboard will make notes appear in hyperscribe but the sound 
audio instrument is no longer driven. Anybody else experiencing this?
My fix has been to quit finale and restart finale.

[Finale] Standards for Rehearsal marker placement and repeat bar height

Is there a standard for Rehearsal Letters in rectangles for placement.?
I'm always having to tweak the placement to stay out of the way of chord 
symbols on beat 1.

Also is there a standard height  for repeat lines above the staff - I am always 
having to tweak to make room for 16pt font chord symbols.???

I can't consistently get an option to export an .mp3 audio file.
Often it only offers WAV or iTunes.
Any ideas?

[Finale] Score manager not naming new Instrument at top left corner of new part

With Score Manager - I used to create a Tenor Sax part and the name Tenor sax - 
would appear on the top left of the page.
It is not doing that now. 

Any ideas why?

I ask for 3 copies and only 1 comes out. I had to do 2 more single page copies.

[Finale] Hiding a staff in part of a piano score

I am prepping a score with 8 instruments. On most of the Grand Piano part i 
don’t need to see the left hand
but later in the medley i do need to see the left hand. I did this about 6 
years ago but can’t remember how. Any help?
Also the goal is page reduction.

[Finale] Looking for s way to return all chord symbols names to same heights.

I pull a medley together every holiday season for a show - Importing different 
song arrangements from different songs. For some reason the chord names are 
different heights. Is there a command return all of the chord names to the same 
height? These charts go back to finale 2002
I am using finale 25 now.

[Finale] Help please with playing in Bb trumpet parts

I ‘ve been away from finale for a bit. Trying to play in some Bb trumpet and Eb 
alto sax parts.
I have a foggy memory where I could play - Hyperscribe’ on my keyboard in 
concert key, Hear the trumpet in concert key
and then the trumpet part would appear with the proper transposition.

I play in a piano part in C,
While I’m adding hyper scribe trumpet in another staff I hear the trumpet up a 
step but the piano in concert.
There must be a more pleasing way of recording.
Help Please.

I don’t think i want to use:
Choose Document > Display in Concert Pitch

I’ve tried this:
Choose Window > ScoreManager and click the staff you want to change.
Choose Transposition > Other. The Staff Transpositions dialog box 
 
appears.
Specify the desired transposition.

Standard horn transpositions <>Standard horn transpositions

Any ideas what could be going wrong?

[Finale] Hyperscribing Tenor Sax

I have a memory of creating a tenor sax part [it’s transposed with a diff key 
sig. Tenor Sax]
hyper scribe keying in concert and it automatically scores the Part a step 
higher. How do i accomplish this?

[Finale] Double Coda standard practice and availability of Dbl Coda in Repeat Tool

I have a chart where the first time I say 'd.s. al coda
The second time I need it to go back to the D.S. but go to Coda II

What's standard practice for this? Just write out Coda II?

[Finale] Trouble w Finale 2008 crashing upon running program

I used Carbon Copy Cloner to create a new boot disk for my 6 year old  
G5 2Ghz Power PC. Using
Finale 2008 on OSX 10.4.

When I run Finale 2008 it starts loading 'items about midi etc. then  
just quits.
I read a Makemusic report about removing all audio plug-ins and  
restarting to see if it loads.
Haven't tried that !!!

Any Suggestions?

[Finale] Midi input doesn't change to patch sounds assigned to the staves

It worked a few days ago. 
When i recorded w Hyperscribe the midi triggered the different sounds.
Now it stays on a human voice sound regardless od which staff i'm recording. 
Any ideas on how to get this working again?
