If you're using a Windows operating system younger than 10 years with stable drivers, it's not possible for an application to crash a PC. An application can only crash within its own protected memory space. Drivers are at a level where they can crash the computer (such as my previous NVIDIA drivers did before my last driver update), and the ASIO driver specification is extremely low level but not even designed by Microsoft. It's not MM's job to configure your computer properly with stable drivers. Best regards, Jari Williamsson ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale

I have had no ASIO issues. Care to elaborate? Sent from my iPhone, so please pardon all the typos. I don't have a crash, but running Finale causes other audio applications to distort (even if I'm not using any Finale playback). As soon as I shut Finale, the other applications return to normal. That's probably the expected behavior. Audio apps don't often like to share the same driver unless it's specifically multi-client. Sent from my iPhone, so please pardon all the typos.
