...and my decision whether or not to buy 2K5 will be based entirely upon whether it proves to be more reliable and user-friendly than 2K4... Andrew Stiller Kallisti Music Press Another thing one should consider if not really needing or wanting to upgrade: if I don't upgrade from (let's say) 2k4 to 2k5 that 'll save something like $ 85.00, and I'll keep saving money if not upgrading to latest other versions (if it's a matter of sense, obviously); but, what will I have to spend when purchasing a large upgrade (let's say, from 2k4 to 2k7)? So, the question is, will purchasing all the upgrades let save money compared to few large upgrading? Re: [Finale] Finale 2005 announced
When I purchased the upgrade to Finale 2004 I phoned Finale's customer service and they told me I could not buy the software from them and should have to contact a local dealer. Result: products ships a little later (it's ok for me, using Finale in English; the translated version, in any case, ships 2/5 months later) and cost much more. One example for all: MS Office, in Italy (English version) costs more than the double price you pay in the U.S. Giovanni Andreani Does anyone know when European dealers will have it? Or does anyone know how much duty we have to pay in Europe if we order from MM? Thanks, Dennis ___ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale

In Canary Islands I pay the shipping, the special kind of VAT we have (5%) and then the customs processing costs, normally 30 euros. (I guess than in your case the VAT is something like 20%). At the end is almost the same than buying it from a dealer, but at least you have it sooner. Javier Does anyone know when European dealers will have it? More reasonable upgrade price. The Tuplet placements and repeats stuff might be all I'd use in the new upgrade.. There is a LOT of fluff in this new version. Indeed, but the Fluff level is pretty extreme this time. Lanch menu? Performance Assessment? Now isn't the latter starting to blur with SmartMusic? I like that you can save Finale pieces to SmartMusic, but.having Finale now acts a scaled down SmartMusic thing is getting a little too fluffy for me... However, the tuplets, and repeats and spacing improvements sound great! dhbailey wrote: But then there's been a lot of fluff in each new version since about Fin97.
