[Finale] Ledger lines on cued notes

2012-09-09 Thread Peter Taylor
Does anyone know of a way to reduce the length of the ledger lines
temporarily when one reduces the size of notes in cued passages? In my own
house style I have ledger lines for normal notes set a little longer than
Finale's default, but this means when a note is reduced in size the ledger
lines look too long.

Maybe this has been addressed in later versions. I'm still using
FinWin2005, the last edition prior to linked parts. ;)

Thanks
Peter

nope. but if there aren't too many, or if you really insist on it,
you can set the region to hide ledger lines and set up a shape
articulation with 1 line, topnote-attached and define up a metatool
for quick application (drag-enclose). set 2-line and 3-line ones as
needed.

Thanks Jef. I was hoping there was some way of doing it with a staff style
or a plug-in. Never mind, there are too many to mess about like that.
I'll shorten the default length slightly.

I'll shorten the default length slightly.

may not be of use to your situation, but in my default settings i
have slightly shorter left extensions than right so the accis can sit
a little closer and the longer right extensions still help locate
the pitch
