Re: [Finale] Re: Mid-measure clef

2008-11-30 Thread Allen Fisher

3 ways to do this:

1. If you're using simple entry, get the caret to the place you want
the mid-measure clef and type alt-shift-C (opt-shift-C) press enter,
and select the clef you want.

2. Click the clef tool, hold down the metatool for the clef you want
to use and click where you want it.

3. Click the clef tool, drag-select the area you want in a given clef
and type it's metatool.

Part of the reason for making the query was that I was not seeing a
mid-measure clef checkbox.

Hi,

I'm having this exact same problem in Finale 2008 Windows.

Everything the OP says is exactly the same problem I'm having. The
clef is
not movable, no handle, and I'm not seeing any options for
designating it as
a mid-measure clef. I never had this problem in the past. What is
going on?

Friends:

Can someone either confirm, or alternatively, teach me what I'm doing wrong?

Disregard; asked to soon. I was not properly selecting the region where
I wanted the mid-measure clef.

You have to use partial measure selection, right? Or am I remembering
that this is always on in Finale 09?

If you don't select the region beforehand, don't you just check off
the mid-measure clef checkbox in the clef dialog?
