Re: [Finale] Notes scrunching together
Hi Lawrence, have you tried increasing the width of the bar (in Measure Attributes with the measure tool) before you enter any notes? A width of 1200 EVPUs should make your job easier. The width will be corrected when you space the music. Use scroll view, as measure widths are scrunched to fit in page view. Peter From: Lawrence Yates yateslawre...@gmail.com Hi, I'm currently transcribing a piece which includes lots of semiquavers/demi-semiquavers (don't know what that is in American). Using speedy entry, as I type in the notes they all scrunch together so that I can't read what I'm writing. Is there any way I can stop this happening as I type as opposed to hitting update layout at the end of every bar (which doesn't solve the problem of individual bars being illegible as I type anyway). Re: [Finale] Notes scrunching together
Hi Peter, Thanks - everything's happening like you said - works beautifully until I switch to another stave, then it corrects itself so that I have the same problem again. Is there a way to fix the width change until a expressly ask it to correct? I'm sure there must be and I'm missing it. Re: [Finale] Notes scrunching together
Hm, that doesn't happen to me. Maybe there's a setting somewhere - Automatic Update Layout comes to mind immediately, I always have that turned off. Or possibly there's a setting in the Speedy menu? I'm still using FinWin2005 and there's been some major changes since then! :) Hi Peter, Thanks - everything's happening like you said - works beautifully until I switch to another stave, then it corrects itself so that I have the same problem again. Yes, Jef suggested that and between you both you've solved the problem for me, Thanks. Lawrence On 24 May 2014 12:18, Peter Taylor pe...@euphonium.plus.com wrote: Hm, that doesn't happen to me. So I see. After I started the reply my wife made me go out in the garden to deal with a dead baby deer of all things (got at by a fox I imagine). I posted my message about 15 minutes later and then I saw Jef's - grr. Anyway, I'm glad you're sorted. Peter Yes, Jef suggested that and between you both you've solved the problem for me, Thanks. Re: [Finale] Notes scrunching together
Yes, that must be a problem. I find even 32nd notes to scrunch up so they are impossible to read until you finish the measure. Help, anybody?
