[Fink-beginners] Koffice

Hi,

I recently downloaded, compiled and installed Koffice but cannot seem to
open it. How should I start Koffice or any of its componants? Is it
possible to start them from the dock?

I need to configure Fink to obtain packages from behind a firewall. How
do I specify a port as well as the server?

[Fink-beginners] Editing sw/etc/fink.conf

Hi,

I need to edit fink.conf in order to access unstable packages. As far as
I know I have super-user privileges (I have the password) but how do I
begin editing as a super-user? Do I need to somehow logon as a
super-user? I should say that I'm new not only to Fink, but to UNIX.
