Hmm, what is the reason for this update? Never got problems with freetype
Here my otool -L /sw/lib/mozilla/mozilla-bin

/usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.3.0, current
version 6.3.0)

As you can see it´s linked with x11s (xfree86 4.4) freetype.
xfree86-4.4.0 has freetype-2.1.4 which still seems to be compatible, but
xorg has freetype-2.1.8 which breaks compatibility.

I only hope that the upcoming official mozilla/firefox fix will be
backward compatible so that it doesn't *require* freetype=2.1.8.

Re: [Fink-devel] updated uri-pm581.info

2004-12-06 Thread Christian Schaffner
Hi
On 02.10.2004, at 02:59, Nicolas Bock wrote:
I ran into difficulties when I tried to install uri-pm581 from the
stable directory in 10.3.5. Specifically, the make test step during
the installation failed in test 7 of heuristics. After some digging on
google I found that using version 1.33 instead of 1.30 of uri should
fix this problem and indeed it did. So I went ahead and modified
uri-pm581.info to use the new version. I attached a diff to this
email. Since this is the first time I post something like this to this
list, I am not sure whether I included all relevant information or
whether the information I included is in the correct form. Please let
me know in case more is needed
The package is now updated in both stable and unstable tree as you can
see from:

http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/uri-pm581
Could you please 'fink selfupdate' and tell me if it works?
Thanks, Chris.

I haven't committed it yet because I wanted to commit the ssl and

Hmm... wait a second... you sent out your mail three days ago and I
just got it now. grumble mailing list grumble.
Seems you volunteered first and I just didn't know about it.
Guess it's up to you: do you want it?
I've got updated .infos for 2.2.0 (not ssl) that I can send you as a
jumping-in place if you do. Heh... who knows I might even have the -ssl
versions done by the time you reply. In which case I can send them all
to you.
Otherwise I'll just finish up my stuff and commit it.

[Fink-devel] (potentially stupid) Policy Question

2004-12-06 Thread Corey Halpin

I'm about to package monotone-viz, a tool that draws ancestry graphs
of a monotone repository. (http://oandrieu.nerim.net/monotone-viz/ )
monotone-viz itself contains no crypto code.
however, it depends on monotone to work, and monotone does contain
crypto code.
Does monotone-viz go in the crypto tree?

thanks,
