[Fink-devel] control-center-1.4.0.5-17
In trying to update gtkhtml1.1-dev (and -shlibs) on Panther (on a dual G5) with fink HEAD, I have been unable to build control-center. I don't know what I need to do to satisfy ld but am happy to test any solutions. --robert (more enviro info available upon request) gcc -I/sw/include/gdk-pixbuf-1.0 -I/sw/include/gtk-1.2 -I/sw/include/glib-1.2 -I/sw/lib/glib/include -I/usr/X11R6/include-g -O2 -Wall -Wunused -o .libs/file-types-capplet file-types-capplet.o file-types-capplet-dialogs.o file-types-icon-entry.o -L/sw/lib -L../../control-center/.libs -lcapplet -lm -lgnomevfs -lxml -lz -lm -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lgconf-gtk-1 -lgconf-1 -loaf -lgnorba -lORBitCosNaming -lORBit -lIIOP -lORBitutil -lXext -lX11 -lm -lgthread -lpthread -lgdk_pixbuf -lXext -lX11 -lm -lgnomeui -lart_lgpl -lgdk_imlib -lSM -lICE -lgtk -lgdk -lgmodule -lintl -lXext -lX11 -lgnome -lgnomesupport -lesd -laudiofile -lm -lglib libuuid/libuuid.a ld: warning prebinding disabled because dependent library: /sw/lib/libcapplet.0.dylib is not prebound ld: warning suggest use of -bind_at_load, as lazy binding may result in errors or different symbols being used ld: Undefined symbols: _libiconv _libiconv_close _libiconv_open _SSL_CTX_free _SSL_CTX_new _SSL_connect _SSL_free _SSL_library_init _SSL_new _SSL_read _SSL_set_fd _SSL_shutdown _SSL_write _SSLv23_client_method symbol _fnmatch used from dynamic library /sw/lib/libgtk.dylib(fnmatch.lo) not from earlier dynamic library /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib(fnmatch.So) make[4]: *** [file-types-capplet] Error 1 make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 ### execution of make failed, exit code 2 Removing runtime build-lock... It could be that there's a problem with the inline assembly they're using, though. I believe that the ocaml package was updated to a new upstream version after your buildrun started. I haven't tried the new one on intel yet, but you might want to, prior to filing the bug. I just got this forwarded to me this morning by a fellow named Ray Garcia: http://groups.google.com/group/fa.caml/browse_frm/thread/ 0dc0545a76842394/caa62f340ea258ce?lnk=raot#caa62f340ea258ce He's also sent a patch that brings ocaml to this revision. I'm not sure now whether it'd be better to add the patch or wait for the next ocaml release, but I'm leaning towards adding it once I've checked it on ppc. I maintain a fink package for hevea, which needs ocaml to build it. Can I suggest that you start out by packaging the patched version in your experimental directory? Then we can both test it out... I've just done this. It builds on ppc. I haven't really put it through its paces yet. --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
