A friend just pointed this out to me, and I thought it might be of interest to people here :) % man gcc | grep -B 1 -A 3 garbage | head -5 -fobjc-gc Enable garbage collection (GC) for Objective-C objects. The resulting binary can only be used on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and later systems, due to additional functionality needed in the (NeXT) Objective-C runtime.
